Cunard Building
The historic Cunard Building, which features Beaux-Arts decor, Ezra Winter's mural and a vaulted Great Hall, is also home to architects Snohetta AS. They graciously opened their doors for Open House New York, a yearly event where spaces normally closed to the public open their doors. One of the best features of the Snohetta AS is frosted windows inside the open that open up to reveal the now unused and completely stunning Great Hall (1917). It used to be a ticket office for the Cunard Passenger Ship Line. View the full set on Flickr.
