Ah, the National. I think I've seen this band 8-9 times now. They never fail to impress, and it's been wonderful to see their progress through three albums and an EP. Unfortunately, BAM's official photos area is not quite so intimate as the last time I shot them.
I also rented a Canon 300mm f/2.8 with IS for the show. That is one heavy lens! My arms ached the next day. Thanks to Jori for letting me borrow her monopod. I shot "first three songs, no flash" from the press box -- not from the floor, sadly. But I did get to watch the rest of the show from seven rows back, in the orchestra section.
