The Magnetic Fields
February 21, 2008 -- The Magnetic Fields perform at Town Hall in New York, NY.
A very difficult show to shoot due to the distance from the stage (we were allowed to shoot from the back walls/outer perimeters of the theatre), very low lighting, and quietness of the songs (shutter noises were very obvious). It also didn't help that the standard "3 songs, no flash" rule was foiled by the band having Stephin sing only the first song of the set! Shot with a 70-200mm f/2.8 with IS, at 200mm basically the entire time, at ISO 3200. And with lots of Noise Ninja afterwards. The songs, though, were lovely.
