Silversun Pickups
The Los Angeles-based Silversun Pickups play a brand of rock I like to call grunge revival, taking cues from stalwarts like the Smashing Pumpkins and Nirvana. We missed some of the set due to line confusion (Spiro's had a single line for both badges and wristbands) and terrible signage (there were two Spiro's, neither clearly marked). The room was full of appreciative fans and the band played a loose but loud set of feedback-ridden, guitar-heavy rock.
