Evangelicals
One of the stranger bands I saw at SXSW were the recent signees to Misra Records, Evangelicals. Their music is prone to sudden bursts of energy, twisting and turning, chaotic. They took the stage with fake flowers, weird props, and green lighting, with more than a nod to the Flaming Lips. And they left the stage having attempted to crowd-surf a not-nearly-full Maggie Mae's, and after creating a mess of silly string with audience participation.
