Mates of State
They're still adorable, they're still in love, and they're still a two-piece composed of keyboards and drums, but Mates of State are going in a new direction. Gone are the sloppy melodies and hollering of yesterday, replaced by more mature songwriting, growing deeper and sometimes darker. Now on Barsuk Records, the band finds itself exploring every nook and cranny of that unique Mates of State sound, making delightful sounds of pure joy.
