The Beastie Boys
I'm still a little in disbelief that I saw this show. After getting a text message alert from the official SXSW SMS service, we high-tailed it over to Stubb's to wait in line shortly before 6PM. Despite empty bellies, aching knees, and a little grumpiness, I made it though thanks to good friends and the Stubb's take-out line. So what's it like hearing the Beastie Boys do all of their greatest hits live to an enthusiastic crowd in a much smaller venue than they'd usually play as my friends danced and cheered? Let's just say "No Sleep 'Til Brooklyn" seemed unusually apt. More photos. Plus, my partner in crime took this amazing shot.
