Pompeii
Rounding out the "I'm Totally Blogging This When I Get Home" party was local favorites Pompeii. I asked a friend what they sounded like, and she was stymied as how to describe the band, and said, "I guess...indie rock. Standard indie rock, but they're really good!" Pompeii's midtempo, melodic indie rock has shades of Death Cab for Cutie, but finds new nooks and crannies to hide in. Not to mention Pompeii makes judicious use of a cello.
