Field Music
There was a sizable crowd at Emo's outside for Field Music, but most of them were probably non-Festival attendees who were camping out for Of Montreal, who were on later on in the night. I found that I enjoyed Field Music's quirky pop hooks, change-ups, and harmonies more in studio than live; their stage presence felt a little forced and the atmosphere was odd due to some cameramen lingering about. Nonetheless, some of my show-going cohorts enjoyed the set and I'm glad I finally got to see them live, having missed their Mercury Lounge show.
