Hordes of MC Lars' Fans

My friend Andrew Nielsen has been rapping under the name MC Lars for a while now (formerly MC Lars Horris), and I was delighted to hear that he was going out on tour with Bowling for Soup, American Hi-Fi and the Riddlin' Kids, with a stop at Irving Plaza in New York. We used to do college radio together a few years ago and I lost track of him after I moved to New York.

Apparently, he's been making a name for himself, appearing in Wired and Rolling Stone and being featured on MTV. And to think I used to watch this guy do his "post-punk laptop rap" in dorm living rooms, outside school art fairs, and in coffee shops. I was doubly surprised by the sold-out show and the hordes of screaming teenage girl fans who followed Andrew's every move, so I took the opportunity to document his new found fan base.

Congratulations, "DJ Drew," you're a star, now.
