We Are Scientists
The last place I saw We Are Scientists before SXSW was headlining CBGB's on a Friday night. They played the Hard Rock Cafe at 9pm on the first day of the Music Festival. (Talk about polar opposites.) Also: Seymour Stein stood behind me and my friends at this show. And Neal Pollack introduced them. (Later on that night, Michaela realized that she'd seen them as Neal's back-up band years ago.)
"In one year, they'll be on the OC. Two years, tops." Personally, I think We Are Scientists would raze The Bait Shop to the ground. Watch for a new album coming out soon, as they just finished recording in LA.
