Benefit for Sarah Flynn
Look, I know I don't post textual things on here very often. But this is different.
Next week, on Tuesday, in New York, at a club called Rothko, there is going to be an amazing benefit show for someone very special who needs your help. Sarah Flynn, of SpinArt Records, is an acquaintance of mine who I often spotted at shows and around town. I knew Sarah because of her (and my) very good friend Sienna, and she was one of the very first people I met when I first moved to New York. She's been in the hospital since November due to the onset of Wegener's Granulomatosis. Sarah is still very weak and needs our support. She's only 23 years old; instead of running around town or working on her degree, she's bed-ridden.
If you are in New York and can make it, please please please attend this show.

Or consider bidding on some of these great items up for auction on eBay. SpinArt is putting up a whole host of nice things, including items signed by: Frank Black (CDs and a guitar), Dizzee Rascal (a signed copy of "Boy In Da Corner"), Interpol ("Antics"), Death Cab for Cutie ("Transatlanticism" CD and poster), and the Beastie Boys (a signed Chicago Bulls jersey). More information on upcoming items is on the Sarah Flynn benefit site.
Sarah, I miss seeing your lovely smiling face at shows, in line for the Shins, or outside the Posies, or rocking out at the Wrens, or even just walking around New York. (Remember when you went into the Knitting Factory and got Meg that guest-list spot? That was awesome. You are, too.)
Please get well soon. We love you.
