Frosty

Frosty the Snow Man was a jolly, happy soul,
With a corncob pipe and a button nose and two eyes made out of coal.

The well-known song, "Frosty the Snowman," is actually a recent addition to popular culture. It was penned in 1950 by song-writing team Steve Nelson and Jack Rollins, who were inspired by the success of the song "Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer." Gene Autry's performance of John Marks' tune about the underdog reindeer sold two million copies in its first year. (Rumor has it that Jack Rollins was working at Penn Station as a baggage clerk at the time.)
